home_url() and site_url() in WordPress is very simple thing, but could be little bit confusing. Look at the image, then I described below –
From Setting -> General 1) WordPress Address (URL) = site_url() 2) Site Address (URL) = home_url( )
You could force rewrite that from wp-config.php too. Remembering is easy, its just opposite to what is says, so in Setting “Site Address (URL)” is home_url not the site_url as it looks from the words. Savvy?
If you are testing something new, there is always chance to break things, that's why you should always have a fail-safe system. Thing is sometime situation could be a bit different. I decide to test “WP-Rocket”, so disabled W3 Total Cache. I will write a separate article about my experience with “WP-Rocket”. Soon, when I decide to revert back to W3 Total Cache, I started to get weird errors, here I will explain how I solved it.
All those pictures you see from Sundarbans are FAKE. Some are Photoshopped, some are from Hollywood movies, like few are from Jurassic Park, some are from movie Avatar, and rest are just Oil Paintings. In fact there are no Sundarbans in Bangladesh, we hardly have few বাঁশ ঝাড়, but Biggest Mangrove Forest Sundarbans in Bangladesh? No way! There might be something in India, they are the big country, they should have everything!
I had the privilege to speak at this year's Central WordCamp San Francisco. I spoke about “How WordPress Changed My Life From Bangladesh & Let Me Dream Big”. Here I will share my slides and evetually talk about some of my experience.
Don't give me the lecture that it will be alright just like Facebook Newsfeed and Timeline redesigns! It will not, most likely because, if we have to open another new app for chat/msz it will not be Facebook Messenger. For me I will prefer Viber, others could prefer Skype, WhatsApp, Line, Kik or even Google Hangout, but it will be hardly FB Messenger! I am also downloading it, so I could give one star, and what if Facebook loose some mainstream user in their main app after this move? There is no ads in Messenger yet, and it will be hard to add one.
Read the Mashable coverage on how “Facebook Messenger” now No.1 App in App Store with just 1 Star (lowest possible) rating!
